Bi-Polar Sluts are a contemporary Hard Rock band from Italy/USA and "Out-4-dinner" is their first album produced by Cristiano Santini at Morphing Studios (Bologna - Italy), released by Black Fading Records, published by New Model Label and distributed in Italy by Audioglobe.
A prominent feature is the past musical career of Bi-Polar Slut's drummer Paul Casali, formerly drummer of Raw Power, a powerful Italian Hardcore band, which during the 80's shared the stage in the U.S. with superstars such as: Bad Brains, Agnostic Front, Dead Kennedys, Suicidal Tendencies and many other.
For the first album single "Keep Screaming" a video has been shot and produced by Film Cartel Entertainment and directed by Hollywood producer Peter Dioni in southern California.
Stillborn presents the music video for the song "Stillborn II" from their last album "Los Asesinos del Sur". It was recorded in winter 2011/2012, in conditions described as extreme. The writer and director is ataman Tolovy, the band's bassist, while in the lead role you can see Killer, the band vocalist and guitarist.
Asked about the meaning of the video they say: "This Image is a natural extension of the track's lyrics. Two characters, two symbols, conflict, solution. We spit in faces and say it's raining."

The album was produced by Jacek Milaszewski (Acid Drinkers, Hunter) in Chimp Studio.

Luca also wants to update his fans about the production currently happening in Kempten, Germany, at the Backyard Studios of Sebastian Roeder.
“Hi to everybody! The production is proceeding perfectly and my friend Sebastian and I are having a great time while working on the new album here in the cold Kempten, with the snow visiting us from time to time. Nice atmosphere indeed!” “As you know in December Alex Holzwarth recorded all his drum parts. Right now we just ended the recording of the new singer and all the choirs. In some days it will be time for Dominique and Patrice to face their parts while I will soon go back to Italy. There, in my private home studio, I will record the rest of the rhythmic and lead guitar parts, the keyboard and the piano and will finalize the last orchestral arrangements for the mix”.
“All in all, the entire studio production of the new album ASCENDING TO INFINITY will last around 4 months but this is normal considered the artistic ambition of the release, the rich presence of choirs and orchestra, the people involved and the record company’s unique support”.
“If you ask me which has been one the most exciting moments of the studio production, I can tell you that the recording of the new LT’s RHAPSODY’s singer has been really amazing. I will use the words of my friend Sebastian to define the skill of the new front man: fantastic and with an unlimited potential… If you want to know more then I can tell you that from our band’s website an exclusive news about him will soon be released.
“I never want people to be able to put their thumb on this band,” declares Shinedown frontman Brent Smith. “I never want anyone to know what we're going to do musically. I want them to be shocked. I want them to be think, ‘They did it again. They surprised me.’ We like that. We like to challenge our audience.”
When Smith laid down the gauntlet, it set the tone for the recording of Shinedown’s fourth full-length album — the bruising, unapologetic, and totally kinetic Amaryllis. With unflinchingly honest, unrepentant songs like first single “Bully” and “I’m Not All Right,” as well as the deeply moving “Miracle” and the soulful love song “I’ll Follow You,” Amaryllis delivers on its mission statement throughout its 12 tracks: “It's not a record for the faint of heart,” Smith admits. “Every single song makes a statement. I was looking for the kind of emotion that made every hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Because of that, I feel in my heart and soul that this album is a game changer for our band.”
With all the success Shinedown has had since Smith and drummer Barry Kerch formed the band in 2001, one could understand if its members just wanted to rest on their laurels. Shinedown is indisputably one of the fastest-rising rock acts of the last 10 years, beginning its assault on rock radio with 2003’s platinum debut Leave A Whisper and the 2005 gold follow-up Us and Them. Together, both albums yielded seven Top 5 radio hits, including “Fly From the Inside,” “45,” a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man,” “Burning Bright,” “Heroes,” “I Dare You,” and the No. 1 blockbuster, “Save Me,” which dominated Active Rock radio for 12 consecutive weeks.
But it was Shinedown’s third album, 2008’s platinum-selling The Sound of Madness that proved to be their mainstream breakthrough, debuting at No. 8 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart and remaining on the chart for an astonishing 120 consecutive weeks. The band released six singles, each of which reached No. 1 on the airplay rankings. Among them are the rock radio classics “Devour,” “Sound of Madness,” “The Crow and The Butterfly,” “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom,” the gold-certified “If You Only Knew,” and the double-platinum crossover smash, “Second Chance,” which also went to #1 at Hot AC chart and top 5 at Top 40 – a feat practically unheard of for a rock band. Their popularity led to two and a half years of touring, during which time Shinedown performed nearly 440 shows, and established itself as a premiere live act, opening doors to a wider audience in the process. “With Madness, we did exactly what we set out to do, which was grow our audience,” Smith says. “We had entire families, young kids and their grandparents, coming out to our shows. Madness got us to that point where everything we were striving for finally started to happen.”
But just because the music has reached more people does not mean Shinedown has gone soft, in fact far from it. “I’m sure people assume we’re going to come with a pop-based record, but Amaryllis is probably the most rock and roll album we’ve ever made,” Smith says. “We’ve always been a rock band, and I didn’t want to lose sight of that. I told everyone the album had to do three things: It had to show sophistication in the songwriting, it had to show musical growth within the band, and I had to push myself to go places lyrically that I had never gone before.”
Re-teaming with The Sound of Madness producer Rob Cavallo — who has also worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and Kid Rock — Shinedown accomplished all of Smith’s goals and more. Six songs on Amaryllis feature a 30-piece orchestra, including “I’m Not All Right” — Shinedown’s first-ever song to incorporate horns, which drive home the manic intensity of its subject matter. “’I’m Not All Right’ is about someone who is basically crazy and kind of losing their mind, but they're completely okay with it,” Smith says. “My point is that you don’t have to always get everyone else’s approval. You have to be happy with who you are.” “Miracle” was written about the day Smith began to see the world through his young son’s eyes. “The day he was born changed my whole life,” he says. “I had forgotten what it felt like to wake up and understand that being given another day on earth is a gift — that you're not promised tomorrow.” “Unity” is an anthem for Shinedown’s legions of devoted fans. “We wanted to write a song that expressed our gratitude to them,” Smith says. “We can always get on stage and look out into the audience and see how much they appreciate what we do. The song is bout how they make us feel and letting them know that we're never going to leave them behind because they wouldn't leave us behind.”
Another highlight is “Bully,” which finds Smith addressing the tormentor in question in the strongest possible terms: “No one’s gonna cry on the very day you die, you’re a bully.” “I was bullied a lot as a kid, but the song is not just about kids, it’s for anyone who’s felt they’ve been pushed to the brink,” he says. “This song is not saying, ‘Hey, in 10 years, I can let bygones be bygones and maybe we can have a beer at T.G.I. Friday's.’ It's saying that if you push me, I'm going to push you back. It’s not condoning violence, it’s condoning survival.”
From a thematic standpoint, Amaryllis is a record about vulnerability. It reveals the bruises and scars, but also their healing. “I took the gloves off,” says Smith, who co-wrote several songs with bassist Eric Bass and guitarist Zach Myers. “The record is unforgiving. The idea was to take the listener on rollercoaster ride. You should be mentally exhausted at the end. Then, from the exhaustion, you get this unbelievable wave of energy that makes you immediately want to listen to it again. That’s what we set out to create. Nothing less.”
Amaryllis is the first album Shinedown has made with Bass and Myers, who co-wrote “Diamond Eyes” with Smith for the movie The Expendables, which became the band’s sixth No. 1 single last year. “That was the first time we looked at each other and knew we’d be able to write together,” Smith says. “They bring an honesty to what the band represents live, and a level of confidence that is unparalleled because they are unbelievable performers. They don't apologize for being as aggressive as they are, and it really pushed Barry and me to up our game.”
Smith sees the convergence of events — the new line-up, the success of The Sound of Madness — as the band’s destiny, which informed the new album’s title. “An amaryllis is a flower that grows in the desert,” he says. “It grows out of nothing in a wasteland of a desert, and at a time of year when nothing else is growing around it. The way I see it, the amaryllis represents our intention. This is the path the four of us are meant to travel down together. A few years ago, people might have thought we were ‘That thing that should not be.’ That we shouldn't have succeeded. But we never went into the mindset of failure. We actually refused to fail on every level. That's why we’ve called it Amaryllis, because it's a record about destiny.”
Amaryllis will be released by Atlantic Records on March 27th, 2012.

1349 goes west in April and performs at Hulen in Bergen on the 27th of April and at Folken in Stavanger on the 28th.
We had a splendid evening last time we visited Hulen; there was a fiery connection between the band and the audience, and the natural ambience inside the cavern fits 1349 perfectly. So we look forward to returning, and this time we will pull out some special songs from the hat - both old and new songs that we haven't performed live in a very long time or not at all. This is going to be a feast! Our encounter with the Stavanger audience on April 28th is going to be 1349's very first, and that's an event now in the band's 11th year of existence. Both 1349 and the metal scene of the Stavanger/Jæren-area has a strong and characteristic national identity - let's see what happens when we meet for a hellish burn-out this Saturday evening! -The Hellfire Legion

PITCH BLACK RECORDS announces the addition of German hard rock outfit HARD RIOT into its roster with the band’s debut album, “Living on a Fast Lane”, due for release on April 10th, 2012.
HARD RIOT were formed in 2006 in the city of Heilbronn, Germany and the band consists of four young friends who share the same passion – hard rockin’ music.
Their powerful stage presence and performance has landed them with numerous live shows over the past few years and many devoted fans. In 2009 HARD RIOT released a self-financed 5-track EP (“The Hidden Truth”) and in 2011 they entered Maranis Studios in Backnang, Germany, relying on the excellent skills of producer Vagelis Maranis who oversaw the entire recording and production of their debut album.
HARD RIOT is Michael Gildner on vocals, Andreas Rockrohr on guitars, Mario Kleindienst on bass and Carmine Jaucci on drums. Their influences include AC/DC, Metallica and the Scorpions among others but their influences don’t stop here. These and many more are clearly evident throughout their music. The band’s main style is hard rock but one can also find a good dose of heavy/speed metal in their music. One thing is certain when listening to HARD RIOT perform, they are enjoying every moment of their music and that’s something that is undisputedly conveyed to the listener!
“Living on a Fast Lane” will be available worldwide on April 10th, 2012, through Pitch Black Records and its distribution partners as well as through all major mp3 stores.

Fans that have seen UNEARTH live on their recent trips to Alaska, Japan and on their US and Canadian tour with Chimaira, may have noticed a new face on stage. The guy behind the kit has been none other than up-and-coming drummer, Nick Pierce.
Nick Pierce is a self-taught drummer who's been playing since age 10. He grew up playing for local bands in the Seattle/Tacoma area (Culling the Weak, Eterna Nocturna, Embalmed) as well as LA based band The Faceless. Nick first sat in behind the kit for UNEARTH in May of 2011 during their two show trip to Alaska. UNEARTH discovered Pierce on YouTube where he had been covering Unearth songs, among many other bands, on a series of videos on his YouTube channel.
Vocalist Trevor Phipps adds: "Nick is a beast of a drummer and a great guy to hang with. I look forward to jamming with him around the world for years to come." Guitarist Buz McGrath compliments Pierce and says he has a "Great attitude, energy and the knowledge that we can throw the most insane riffs at him and he can create and adequately perform next level beats for said riffs makes it a little easier to sleep at night."
Nick Pierce shares his excitement about joining UNEARTH: "I've been a fan of Unearth for many years and I'm excited to shred with a great group of guys and support our fans."
A live video of Pierce performing "Watch It Burn" live on tour has been made available on Metal Blade TV HERE. Drum aficionados and fans should subscribe to Pierce's youtube channel for more drum videos, as well as a new eight-minute extended drum solo, which can be seen HERE.

DARKEST ERA have launched their first ever video clip for An Ancient Fire Burns taken off their Metal Blade debut The Last Caress of Light exclusively via Bloody-Disgusting.com. Surf over HERE to check out the clip!
Comments guitarist Ade Mulgrew: "An Ancient Fire Burns is a song about primal instincts and desire; and in this video we used a narrative that we really hope will grip people. It´s an old school buried-alive-in-coffin concept that compliments the themes in the song. We also shot the band's performance by torchlight in a 1000 year old monastery, once plundered by Vikings. It was a great setting and really adds to the atmosphere in the video."
DARKEST ERA will support ALESTORM on their Useless Drunken Bastards UK and Ireland tour in February 2012!
The tour kicks off in Plymouth this Saturday and zigzags all over the country before finishing up in Norwich's Waterfront two weeks later. Catch them here:

The album stands out from all else as a record of intense emotional power and honesty; holding the listener within a dark heavy metal storm and not letting go until the last chords have rung out.
