Crobot discus album artwork

Metalnews Power of
Central Pennsylvania-based retro rockers CROBOT worked with the producer Machine (CLUTCH, LAMB OF GOD, COBRA STARSHIP, GYM CLASS HEROES) on their new album »Something Supernatural« but the task of creating the artwork was left 'in house' as guitarist Chris Bishop happens to be a dab hand at art. We interviewed Chris and the guys recently to ask them about the artwork, how the others got involved and what the inspirations were.

Watch the interview over on the Nuclear Blast Youtube channel:

“All the art was made on 22x30 paper with pen and ink and watercolor”, explains Chris. ”I used a lot of inspiration from Alphonse Mucha for the look of the album...And the devil”.
And if you have ever wondered, how the band got together, here’s the answer:

The band spent the past few years honing their live show and garnering a devoted fan base following from their bombastic U.S. performances at festivals, clubs shows, as well as more high-profile tours with CLUTCH, THE SWORD, TRUCKFIGHTERS, KYNG and KILL DEVIL HILL. 2014 and 2015 promise to be the biggest years for CROBOT yet, with their new album, a European tour in the planning and their unique brand of humor - interstellar domination is imminent.
