Debut solo release from Forsaken/Nomad Son bassist

Metalnews Power of
On November 14thMetal on Metal Records will release the first solo concept album of the Maltese doom metal scene veteran Albert Bell (known mostly for his albums with FORSAKEN and NOMAD SON, but also as the organizer of the Malta Doom Metal festival).

Stylistically ALBERT BELL'S SACRO SANCTUS "Deus Volt" is quite different from his other bands, and can be best described as arcane heavy doom, steeped in the primeval sounds and atmosphere of the early black/thrash metal. It bears similarities to bands such as TÖRR, NEMESIS (pre-Candlemass), later ZEMIAL, early CELTIC FROST, MORTUARY DRAPE, early DEATH SS and PAUL CHAIN, VENOM, epic-era BATHORY and SAINT VITUS.

As Albert stated himself: "No sludge, no goth, no stoner, no post anything! Only doom with a heavy dose of true metal in its pristine hues!"

1. The Tears of Ishtar
2. Arcana Imperii
3. Beatification of the Dead
4. Ordo Templaris
5. At the Horns of Hattin
6. Defender of the Holy Cross
7. Deus Volt (The Siege of Ascalon)
