Heads posts album teaser

Metalnews Power of
Last year, HEADS. from Berlin recorded their self-titled debut LP in a heritage-listed building in the Swiss Alps with Jona Nido (Coilguns/Ex-The Ocean Collective). Taking their cues from Steve Albini's school of thought, the band recorded live, getting down 13 tracks in a matter of days. Of these, 6 were chosen and sent to Sweden to be mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna) in Stockholm. The debut LP will be released on May 8 on This Charming Man Records in Europe and North America, and Heart of The Rat Records in Australia and New Zealand.

"A low-slung mélange of Nick Cave 'off heroin', Shellac and My Disco, with shades of The Jesus Lizard and Quicksand..." - Überlin

"Thunderous yet stripped-back.. Hardy, hard-bitten stuff done right." - Mess and Noise

"The equivalent of having one's head crushed by Godzilla's foot." - Soundly Sounds

Formed in Berlin in 2014 by Chris Breuer (The Ocean Collective), Ed Fraser and Peter Voigtmann, HEADS. actually come from diverse corners of the world - Germany meets Australia. The result is an 'unholy alliance' of noise rock and 90's indie - Nick Cave, Black Heart Procession, Girls vs. Boys, Shellac - and more modern stuff like Young Widows and My Disco.

As an introduction to the new album, the band have already released a teaser video, which you can watch here:

The first single from the LP is available on soundcloud:
